No explanations indeed. I remember one of these in ND at the family reuinion/picnic. My son and his cousin had the job of painting the outside a bright red in celebration of it's grand opening!!!!

I remember my step-grandmother had one in Missouri when I was a teen in the 1960's. I would hold my pee forever before I'd go out and use that thing.
