Roosevelt Elk In The Redwood Forest

  2. Look at that rack. I wonder why they are called Roosevelt elk?

  3. From what I've read, they were named in honor of Theodore Roosevelt because he decided to preserve them. They are also known as "Olympic Elk" because there are several herds of them in the Olympic National Park.
